I saw this neat idea on the Vintage Street Market Blog www.vintagestreetmarket.com. Take paper flowers and run them through your sewing machine leaving spaces in between. The flowers used here are from the dollar store. You can use other shapes as pictured below, I used a heart die cut.These are great for adding a homespun look to your gifts and packaging.
