In my first post ever on this blog I was wishing for a picture of this soap loaf once it had been sliced. Its a poor picture (and tiny too) that I found while cruising through old newsletters on our website. I'm getting inspiration for the July newsletter. Better get back at it.

Pink Sugar Soap
Here's a sliced loaf of soap I made last night while getting ready for bed- the soap was melting in my double boiler while I did my bedtime routine.
Once the soap was melted I coloured it with pink liquid colourant, and a small dash of orange, and then added a pinch of white mica for a slight shimmer. Two teaspoons each of Pink Grapefruit essential oil and Brown Sugar fragrance oil give it juicy sugary scent. I let it cool in the pot before pouring it in to the loaf mold. The mold was placed in a cold water bath cause I wanted to see the finished soap before lights out. Thanks for looking!
